What do you want to make better?

Anger

Do not teach your children never to be angry; teach them how to be angry.

~ Lyman Abbott

Anger is a natural reaction when we don’t feel safe.  Anger - which can range from irritability to rage - is held in the body as well as the mind, so simply trying to think differently about it often is not quite enough.

We can address anger (or its opposite, which is repressed anger that festers because it doesn’t get expressed) by paying attention to the physical, mental (thoughts), emotional (feelings) and even energetic aspects of it for you.

Through this process you can uncover and release the source of the anger , so that the anger is not triggered as easily.  A natural state of peacefulness, calmness and loving acceptance is restored.

Anxiety, Fears and Phobias

Our anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows, but only empties today of its strengths.

~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon

Left to its own devices, anxiety tends to grow and expand. Eventually, it replaces our ability to think logically or creatively (someone once said that, “there are no unsolvable problems, there is only a lack of creativity”).

When we meet, we will weave together a rich resource of:

  • Breathwork and/or Polyvagal nervous system restoration techniques to relax your body

  • Compassionate Reflections therapy to clear your mind

  • Healing Soul hypnotherapy and advanced energy techniques to calm your emotions

Actions are a powerful antidote to anxiety. Together, we will choose baby steps that you can take to begin to move through and then past anxiety, so that you can free yourself from the racing mind, short breath and interrupted sleep that results from anxiety.

Confusion / Overwhelm

I wanted to talk, to say something, to ask questions. But I couldn't. All the words were stuck in my throat.
― Benjamin Alire Sáenz,

We might feel confused or overwhelmed when it seems that there are too many tasks, choices, or new situations to deal with at one time. We may experience brain fogginess or sluggishness. This is our nervous system shutting us down, in an attempt to protect us.

When we are feeling confused or overwhelmed, we want to be gentle with ourselves and take it slowly. Talking might be counterproductive, as the cognitive aspects of our brains are sort of shut down at the moment. Sometimes sitting while holding something warm or cool (whichever feels better) can help a lot. Aromatherapy is very supportive, as the tiny molecules of essential oil go right from the nose to the amygdala - the cluster of neuron in the brain that manages many emotions - and begins to unwind the tension that was created there.

Emptiness

She was tired, with that tiredness that only emptiness brings.
― Paolo Giordano

Emptiness can be experienced in different ways.

Sometimes your life can be outwardly full but you feel empty, with a lack of purpose or meaning; you may feel this but not be able put your finger on what it is.

Other times you may feel that you are missing a part or quality, such as innocence, playfulness, or being able to feel joy. You know that you need to find and restore this part of themselves.

Hypnotherapy assists you to do this by allowing you to move into a deep state of relaxation, in which you can scan your body and determine what is missing in your life.  The underlying trauma that caused the inner self to fragment or your life to feel empty is resolved. Your subconscious mind, which often speaks in images and symbols, then helps you to understand what is needed so that you can feel whole and complete again.

Sadness and Depression

The walls we build around us to keep sadness out also keep out the joy.

~ Jim Rohn

Sadness often is a sign that someone or something is missing in your life. While sadness tends to be more situational - related to missing somebody or something - depression is usually deeper and more chronic.

Both need to be acknowledged, respected and even honored. Working gently, we can uncover the source of your sadness or depression, and help it to be released.  A natural state of living with love and joy is restored.

Self-Confidence, Self-Esteem

You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.

~  Buddha

When we did not receive positive messages - or were the recipient of outright negative messages - in our younger years, it can have a lasting effect on our self confidence. Key words said by a caregiver or person of authority have a huge impact on us. Negative messages lodge in our minds and repeat themselves over and over.

Fortunately, we have effective ways to dislodge those negative messages and replace them with positive thoughts about yourself. Healing Soul Hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming techniques along with somatic and sound therapies can be quite helpful.

Spiritual Emergence

I have always tried to make room for anything that wanted to come to me from within.

~ Carl Jung

Spiritual Emergence is when someone’s consciousness begins to open up to experiences of perceiving the subtle energies that are present but not seen, heard, or felt by most people. If you are experiencing this, it can feel unnerving or even scary if you are not aware of what is truly happening.

Examples of Spiritual Emergence experiences might include:

Seeing lights, colors, or ghosts. This is called Clairvoyance (Wikipedia: “One who sees clearly” or “the paranormal ability to see persons and events that are distant in time or space.”) An emerging clairvoyance experience might include seeing orbs, which are round, or spherical, lights that are said to represent the presence of someone who has passed over, of guides, or angels. Others might see light or color in the room, or auras around people.

Hearing music, bells, chimes, buzzing or voices. This is called Clairaudience, or “clear hearing” – the ability to hear what others cannot. The voices heard in a clairaudient experience are most likely those of your guides or loved ones who have passed over; the messages given by these will always be uplifting and love based. A true virtuous guide will never judge you or anyone else, or make you feel less than or ask or tell you to do something that is not virtuous.

Just sensing, feeling or knowing things. This is called Clairsentience, which means ‘clear sensing’ or ‘knowing’ – it is the ability to simply know things. Sometimes this is experienced as knowing another’s emotional or physical state without having exchanged words; you might sense the presence of the spirit of someone who has passed. Sometimes you might ‘know’ that something happened in a certain building or space.

Often, my clients come to me feeling a bit anxious about the experiences that they have had. Some may even have wondered if they are going crazy! Through discussion and mentoring, they are able to realize and enjoy the gifts that they have been given, and to then use them for the betterment of others and of humanity. They become Light Workers.

I am honored and humbled to assist people to recognize the Light that they carry – to help them glow the Light, grow the Light, and flow the Light.

Trauma

Trauma is defined by the person who experienced it. Even something that might seem minor to an onlooker can be felt as trauma by an individual, and that can result in lasting effects in their mind, emotions, and body.

What you need to resolve those trauma after-effects is different from what others may need. Together, we will discover how best to unravel any thoughts that got twisted due to the trauma, unwind physical tension and release emotional reactions - to free you to be yourself again.
